Ebay FINALLY THE WATCH ARRIVED "seller not replying messages after bank transfer is done"

My first time buying at eBay from a seller that has more than 500 sale items and 100% positive . Since I made the payment by bank transfer is not replying my messages. Lucky that the amount is small but even do getting on my nerves . The parcel it’s send as per eBay but I don’t get tracking number, has been send by German post, hope soon arrives otherwise I’ll be very frustrated with my first eBay shopping experience

Damn it is scary. The dude or dudette should at least give u the all clear that your cash was received

How long has it been and how much money are we talking about, and where are you located? If it has been sent there isn't much you can do other than wait it out. Delivery times can be extended by Customs.

If seller has 100% feedback he's not likely a scammer. Remain calm.

I paid on the 25th November , they after the parcel left , I’m based on BARCELONA expecting to arrive as per eBay 29th up to 10 January , amount 182€ total, let’s cross fingers . I guess with 500 positive feedbacks I won’t have any issue but it’s very uncomfortable situation .
I’ll keep you posted

I have to ask, why on earth did you pay with bank transfer and not paypal, which all sellers on ebay are obliged to accept?

Yes, unfortunately some accounts do get hacked and yes you should have used PayPal. If I'm selling a $15,000 watch I don't want PayPal and their 3% fee and all of the other nonsense that can happen with them, but for such a small amount I'm surprised that they asked for a wire. That's kind of a red flag.

I hope it works out, but if it doesn't, consider it a lesson learned.

Maybe he's traveling for the holiday. Never do direct wire transfer unless they have several references and are someone you trust. eBay is a spawning pool for scam artists.

It’s my first time and when I saw his profile with lots of positive I thought that would be fine , I hope things get better and the watch arrives

Not on German ebay, which has different rules that tend to favour scam sellers.

I guess I’ll have to wait until the latest date that the package is supposed to arrive and then report him , right ?

A couple of years ago I bought an expensive, very hard to find, dial from a German ebayer who only accepted wires. He had an excellent rating and the dial arrived with no issues. As your seller also has fine ratings and an active account, I think you will be ok.

always pay using paypal!

Paypal will redund if a problem (scam ,no delivery etc) arises
