If I was going to sell Id put this up £13k about $17k usd so it gives you a idea on price

Fully Serviced by Omega in Nov last year
Thanks for sharing. It will help me in creating a framework to support my purchase decision.

Think I agree with @Davidt on value. For me those lume plots look dirty and dial tired.
For that price you can do better with patience.
Agree they look bit dirty but doesn't this render it more authentic? I mean, no sign of restoration is a plus, isn't it?

Dirty plots do suggest an unaltered watch but that doesn't equate to added value if they're aren't particularly attractive.

You should pass my opinion as well. It’s not like it’s a steal or good price. The price is up there. Wait patiently. One will pop up on here for a fair price.

If you browse the "Private Watch Sales" subforum, I think you will find that the asking price for this piece is not commensurate with the condition. I would suggest some patience and to buy from some of the members here; there have been been some decent 105.003s on sale here.

Given that these watches are from way back in the 1960s, i feel that a dial is already in good shape if the tritium plots are intact.

Keep chasing that 200 😉

It sounds like you really this watch and want affirmation from us that the asking price is fair. You have had universal consensus that it is circa $3k too high based on forum sales and the sales data gathered by Spacefruit. Dealers have to eat after all. If you must have it then go ahead, the market may catch up but I don’t think you are going to persuade owners that the one you show is worth more than they initially thought (unless they are trying to sell you one!). In other words, if you change your mind and try to flip it, be prepared for a loss in the short term.

i hope OF experts here are also given the chance to view some inside photo. otherwise, if you have seen the watch personally and which also comes a reliable seller on a f2f negotiation, hopefully you'll be comfortable with such a nice 003.

Your advice is much appreciated and I fully understand your view. Of course I have my mind set on this watch, it's the reason why I created the thread in first place. But the decision isn't made yet. I learned a lot from all your comments and meanwhileI have even shared the link with the selling party. I just want a rational approach to this purchase. My goal is not to flip but create a collection that stands strong for the years to come. I do care about ROI (I'm not that wealthy not to care), yetI buy to wear, not to put away in some safe.

Plan is to meet the seller end of week and check further details, including inside of the watch.

Hey @watchwaker , be patient.
Almost any straight lug speedie will appreciate with a little time. Buy from here the dealers know this and will push the price, you will get a fair deal here.
Heed the advice you have already received it is "gold".
Best of luck, by the way we make our own luck.

Well guys, updating this thread with the latest. That Ed White was indeed not convincing enough so in the end I made a sidestep and went for a 145022-69 persoon watch. Not a 321 but far more reasonable priced and with a rare Holzer bracelet. That Ed White stays on my scanner and when I bump into the right one, I'll strike. How do you guys like this tropical piece?

Wow, that looks pretty good and with a DON to go with it. Love how the dial looks in the sunlight. Wear it in good health!

You're way too late, Ed White died on the LC-34 pad at Cape Canaveral in the Apollo 1 fire, along with Gus Grisson and Roger Chaffee, more than 50 years ago.
