Advice on Omega 561 movement please.

High all.
Received my new purchase today, C shape connie with a 561 movement.
Should this movement have a 'hack' facility, also should there be a quick method of changing the date rather than continually turning around the the hands for several 24 hour periods?

I thought about the reverse to 9pm method but was warned off this method by a watchmaker some time ago [although it was on another make of watch].

This is the conventional way to set the date on watches with "semi-quickset" movements. I would believe the manufacturer's recommendation.

I have at least 7 or 8 calendar watches from a variety of manufacturers that use the 9pm-1am semi-quickset date method - AS, Omega, Felsa, Zenith, Bulova.
