The Master Chronometer card is missing the Access Code which allows you to log on to the Omega site and see the actual performance statistics for your watch. That would bug me, I'm not sure Omega will give you that number at this point but it would be worthwhile to try to get it. Usually the Master Chronometer card (if METAS certified) and Pictogram card have the reference number and watch serial number preprinted, and occasionally the Warranty card is blank and the dealer fills in the date of sale, ref. and serial numbers in black marker, and stamps it. I've never seen all the cards blank, but maybe that is common in the middle east.

the watch is a master co-axial, not a master chronometer, so doesn’t have a METAS card. All looks good to me.

So why does he have a Master Chronometer card in his set (handwritten info on card)? Since he has a Master Chronometer card how can it all look good to you?

I think the watch is legit but the watch is likely grey market and the box and cards were sourced elsewhere and filled in by the grey marketer to create a 'complete' set. I would definitely have Omega inspect and confirm the authenticity of the watch.

Yikes your cards look identical to the cards found on the Chinese replica site.
Not good but doesn’t mean the watch is fake though.

Maybe he bought the watch from a grey or lost the warranty cards.

I would take the watch to your nearest AD / Omega boutique and get it verified authentic.

Cheers guys.

Will be taking the watch to my closest Omega boutique when the shops open up.

Might possibly be a grey market piece.

I've asked the seller of the watch for more details based on the comments. When I know more I will give you an update.

Is is just me or are the Omega holograms missing from the cards?

I think the conclusion has been made that the cards have been sourced elsewhere and are most likely fake cards filled in by a grey dealer to make a complete set. Whether the watch is completely authentic is not yet known until OP has it verified by Omega. I would not be surprised if the previous owner was not aware of the sketchy cards either, he probably thought it was all legit.

If I may be curious here - what's actually going to happen if OP shows up at the Omega boutique and they find out the box / cards are indeed fake? I assume they'd legaly be allowed to call the police and have them take everything with a forged Omega logo on it with them?

He doesn't need to show them the cards or box, he just wants a read on whether rhe watch is aurhentic.

So guys, the seller has offered to pay for the retrieval of the COSC document from Omega (requested from the official Swiss Chronometer Testing Institute). He didn't know about the boxes or cards but said his wife had the watch checked when it was brought and it was confirmed as genuine.

Guess I should take his offer?

The movement is legit. The replica movements don't have a free sprung balance. They have a rate and beat adjuster. The box and papers seem odd to me as normally pre-printed, but I haven't bought a new omega from a boutique for 18 months and it was a speed pro so no cosc or metas either way. I would put £1000 on the watch being legit. If the box and papers are suspicious I would pay for a serial number check from the watch register in case it was stolen and replica box/papers sourced. He could have been an innocent party but any credible business dealer should be checking this.

Nice one bud. Saves me having to get the check done by Omega and nothing come back.

He already had a search done by the Watch Register and that came back clear. Think he was just an innocent party and the jeweler his wife went to was lax on the checks.

The watch isn't in question - I confirmed it was legit yesterday.

I don't believe Omega will supply this anymore.
