Advice on a possibly refinished Pie Pan dial

For me that's a 14381. Those lugs have almost no shoulder where they join the case.

My 14381 has no Officially Certified text. Not sure if that’s the case with all? Mines a block rather than tooth dial though. It’s a 14381-9 so presumably late.

All very good information. It could be the dial is not original to the case? Either way I’m comfortable being in it for around $1000 USD but if the bidding goes above $1500 I’ll likely be out.

At $1000 go for it regardless of hands and ref number

I have to say, the lugs bothered me too when I suggested the 2852.
- more reminiscent of the lugs on some of the earlier cases.

if it is an earlier case (or a heavily polished 14381) then I suspect the dial doesn’t belong in that case.

unfortunately the whole point is moot because I lost out on the auction for $1500 USD. I wasn’t comfortable going too much higher without movements pics and better pictures overall. I did snag this from the same auction for $600 US.
