The reason I am looking at this dial is possibly to replace the dial on my dad's watch. He was the original owner of the attached watch in the photos that I am now attaching. Right when he received it, he got it refinished badly (he did it when it was new, so these were far from collectible back then). Fyi, I know the crown is not original to the year as I got it replaced recently when I got the watch serviced.

·I would consider sending that one for factory restoration in Bienne, Switzerland. For $1500, they will do a complete service, replace any incorrect parts with a correct replacement, and refinisih the dial properly. Paying more than that for an original replacement dial, which the linked one is, is perhaps not a good use of funds.

·The dial in question has a lot of scratching around the verso of the central hole, which suggests to me that it has been fitted to a watch at least once, and this makes me question the NOS description.
To my inexpert eye it looks good, but jolly expensive.
