And here is a pic of the watch finally in my hands (Actually it is now in the watchmaker hands for the crystal replacement) with a nato strap.
what do you think? Watch looks better than I remembered😀 And it sits nice on the wrist.

I am not sure if it would look better on a Mesh bracelet or on an isofrane...👎
It came on a jubilee holzer which was not bad but it has 20mm end links.

I thought about fitting my Speedmaster 20mm mesh bracelet on the flightmaster but I got discouraged by the Omega service technician who told me that the 20mm end links might get trapped on the pin and consequently "release" it, not sure about it but I dont wanna risk it.
Anyway I can just fit it to see how it looks like.

I like mine on a NATO strap. The extra height helps keep the crown from digging in.

It's way too heavy on a mesh for my liking.

Actually if you like mesh bracelet, it looks cooler with flightmaster rather than original bracelet.
I like the dial, it has the right tropical patina amount in the subdial. No worry about the lume...
The case looks good so no problem there. If there is no problem with movement (Chrono and second hour hand work well) then it come down to the price. Price range is about USD 2500-2800 unserviced.

I am learning these Flightmaster's in anticipation of running across one pushing all my buttons, so, can someone explain the part in this quote about worrying about if the movement has problems, ie, "chrono and second hour hand work well". Are these two issues not repairable?

Nothing is irrepairable with the right budget 😉. But one must be wise to choose which battle they pursue.
Basically in Flightmaster there are 4 horology function represented by 3 crowns and 2 buttons.
1. Basic watch which controlled by right crown
2. Chronograph (stop watch) which controlled by two buttons
3. Second watch (hour only) represented by blue hands controlled by left crown with blue color
4. Rotating inner bezel which controlled by other left crown

For 910 model there is another function at green subdial which show AM/PM controlled in sync with basic watch crown. It come at the expense of no second hand at sub dial (which present at 911 model)

CMIIW, Function no 3 and 4 is easier (thus cheaper) to repair. No 1 & 2 would need more substantial budget if you have to repair it.

Very clear explanation, thank you.

I've seen $400USD as a ballpark for COA, so, if all these chronograph functions "work" but the chrono hand is a little sticky and the GMT hand is not synchronized but does rotate, would a generic COA take care of these two hiccups, or should I negotiate more off the price to compensate?

Watchmaker or member who have experience with that problem in your area will be the right person to answer.
My watchmaker is very nice so as long as there is no new parts involved he included all small other things to repair in one standard service price.

The one I'm looking at also has a 1159 bracelet BUT 172 endlinks. Since the serial number dates to the transition to the 911, would 172 endlinks been used with a 1159 bracelet from the factory?

What added value is the 1159 bracelet with correct or incorrect endlinks? It has the recessed Omega symbol on the buckle, has some light scratches on the buckel, holds the horizontal well(not stretched), and has 21 links.
