Advice needed for flightmaster 910

There appears to be a lume dot floating around the dial. First pic, by the 5 min bezel mark, second pic, in the 30min totalizer dial. If that's truly what it is, it makes you wonder what kind of "service" it really had.

Yea unless you really trust the guy who told you he had it done, I'd be treating it with a lot of suspicion, its far too easy to pay a watchmaker to just regulate a watch for $25 and say its been done.

FWIW, you might want to keep scanning eBay for a one owner model. They pop up every once and a while. When you deal with "pre-opened" complex vintage watches, you really need to budget for a proper servicing anyway. I learned that the hard way 😀.

There's a few things that point to the case having not been touched. It looks to be in excellent original condition.

thanks for pointing that out!! Did not see it at all!! Is it bad? A part that is missing rather than being at its place

thanks but the part number for the crystal you mentioned is it for this crystal in the picture belo or for the flatter one (the same as the chipped one currently on the watch)?

It's for the only crystal listed for this case reference. It sits more flush to the case than what you have shown.

Cheers, Al

It's just strange that someone savvy enough to mention servicing, Omega extracts and spare crystals would be alright with that. Why was it not taken care of when it was supposedly serviced?

The dial appears to be missing the lume dots at 3 and 9 so its possible one of those could have come off but I hadnt noticed it until you pointed it out.

For a service I'd want to see a receipt before I would believe anything a seller would say about a recent service and the price would need to reflect this.

This is mine, which is finally in Al's safe hands 👍

There is no difference in price between the early 910 ( no luminous at 12 and yellow chrono buttons) and the later 910 (luminous at 12 and two colours chrono buttons)?

I think the overall condition of the watch dictate the price more than the early vs later 910. Unlike vintage Speedy 321 which collectors fuss about minutiae on similar reference (eg 2998- 1,2,3,4,5 and 6 will have significant price difference between each iteration), Flightmaster collectors are not yet at that stage.

Only one crystal is shown for that reference - not sure what you have there.

The 145.013 has the domed crystal and the later models have the flat crystal. The 5147 crystal is domed but possibly not as much as shown in that picture. Unfortunately I dont have a side on pic of my flightmaster but I think it has its original crystal still fitted

Exactly. The height of the 145.013 and the 145.026/146.036 are the same but the cases are taller for the 026 and 036 where the chystal is taller for the 013.

I would like to thank everybody for your prompt and useful replies.
I just decided to go ahead and purchase this flightmaster.
After speaking to the seller I trust the movement was checked, found in good conditions and lubricated and when I tried all the functions they worked well so it should be fine.
for Privateday7, I will hold on to the watch until the day when the early "no dots" 910 will be considered a rarity😁
