Hello!
I bought this buckle today. I think everything is fine and it is together with the strap. 16 mm. and 20 mm at the lugs. However, let the experts have their say! About what year is it from?
Thanks in advance!

While still on the learning curve, my reading and following of this thread suggests shape and direction of markings consistent with AW maker, early period. The Omega logo looks thinner and more open than other photos on the thread. But I think original. See what @gatorcpa thinks.

Much of my knowledge also comes from opening and inspecting more fakes than I care to admit…..

According to this post: https://omegaforums.net/threads/about-omega-buckles.37347/#post-427698, shouldn't the sun be the MG symbol (second edition)? I plan to use one of them for my 1960s C-case Connie. What kind of strap are you using with the wide pin? My usual straps all have narrow holes, so I might rather use the small-pin buckle.

A late reply but, a strap from my favourite strap place, cns straps

To be honest I’d rather use a thin buckle since this is my only wide buckle, and I was keeping it in my collection, but these large holes are annoying

The 18k buckles are rare and seem to fetch some hefty prices, here is one sold at an auction house this week.
Around 500EUR including commission, 14mm wide:
https://www.kaplans.se/sv/auktioner/4183/vara/1893827

Indeed hefty, but imo worth it due to its rarity. As you know from our domestic site Klocksnack.se I was the buyer.

Hallmarked with swedish three crowns on the side of the buckle. 14mm AW 18k

Good morning or wherever you are OF
Hope you are doing good.

Yesterday i came across an omega buckle.
I own a 2782 in 18k and wanted to have a 18k buckle for it.
I read part of the thread here…but id still be happy about a few opinions.
The dealer is asking CHF 250 for it.

Thanks in advance and have a nice day😀

Some of my thoughts: 18k buckles should have (at least) 3 hallmarks, 750, swiss, and the makers mark (AW, GM). With your picture I can't tell if all of the hallmarks have been rubbed / polished off apart from the 750, or if there is only one hallmark. Next, the form looks closer to a GM buckle, but it seems to have been polished quite a bit losing it's form, at least that's the way it seems from the side pictures. I am by no means an expert, but many of the GM 18k buckles that I've seen have the Omega logo attached to the buckle by two "studs" which don't seem to be visible here. In regards to the price, it is a very good price. These buckles don't often come up for sale so it's a bit hard to get a good judge of the market, but this is certainly on the very low end of what I've seen. I'm sure some more knowledgable members will chime in with their thoughts.

Hard to photograph gold

I'll comment on the 750 - I've seen the only 750 and the only 18K mark, enough times that at this point I assume they are likely genuine, but as a buyer I've never bid when only these singular hallmarks are present, I always assumed they could be reproductions. For example there are still solid gold bracelet makers that use the Omega logo - this is my .02

It's probably why the price is affordable too, in auctions I almost always bid on solid gold buckles, but never won, they usually far exceed 200's and the lower bound is 300 ish when it's an attractive buckle

Hello!
Picked up this 14mm buckle today for my 1939 CK859 as I have a 20mm by 14mm strap. I think it was produced after
1939 and is a later period but fits well.

As @lehippi @kaplan already stated I feel it should have more hallmarks than the 750 but the buckle looks polished so they might just have been polished down. I would have been a little bit suspicious, but if its solid gold and in that cheaper price range its probably not to bad of a purchase either way.

Mine has the 750, the maker and swiss + the three crown hallmark on the side:
