Lucky recent by-catch

Very nice!
Does it have any hallmarks on the side?

No, it doesn't. Should it have one?

It does have one, "0.750". Different countries mark gold differently.

I have this what I'm guessing rather uncommon buckle since its in solid 18k gold, and also with a slightly different profile than most you'll see.
Does anyone have an estimated year of when this style was produced? And what would a value roughly be, it looks unworn and is 14mm (sitting on a unworn Omega strap).
@iamvr my 18k buckle I posted earlier in this thread have a hallmark on the side, I dont know if they should have or maybe it depends on country and manufacturer.

My assumption was that they should have hallmarks just as the gold watches but since they are very uncommon I have not figured out that theory 😀

AFAIK anything gold out of Switzerland needs two hallmarks, but as @SkunkPrince mentioned, there is the "0.750" mark and the case maker mark AW.

Hi all!
I have two identical buckles like this. Their outer width is 20 mm and the internal width is 18 mm.
To me they look original, but they do lack the mark of the producer.
After reading up on this is seems that this size of buckle also is a bit uncommon (?).
So what do you think - is this original or fake?

Looks genuine to me 😀 - also if you'd like to sell one, do let me know this is a size i do not have myself but could do with having!

I don’t think they all had the makers initials the writing looks good and it has the old fat springbar which is good sign. So I think it’s original
See what @SkunkPrince thinks he is the current buckle blesser

Hah, I'm not the expert but I think it's right. Having the Ω overlap the top edge is something I don't think a copier would do.

Thanks for your swift replies, @OllieOnTheRocks, @SOG53 and @SkunkPrince. Do you know the watch models that might have used these? Speedmasters?
Generally, this design I have seen on 1950s/60s Omega Seamasters, constellations and Geneves. Given the wider size, perhaps they were used on other models too!

Yeah, I have seen them on these models as well, but they usually have 18 mm lug width. Was it ever common with 18 mm non-tapered straps?

Speedmaster usually came on bracelet and my understanding is leather straps would’ve been custom ordered at dealer Most 20 mm lug straps taper to 16 so I doubt Speedmaster.

I’m using this buckle on my Speedmaster I think it’s close year as the 69 watch. On a Watchgecko racing strap nice and thick goes well

Hi, I need a buckle for my late '60 Seamaster.
What do you guys think of this one?

Seems legit but a bit shiny for a 60 years buckle...
Thanks for your help.
