Out of interest, do any of the pros have a view on that timing machine reading above? I've not seen that sort of reading before where the centre portion is perfectly fine (excluding the enormous beat error and the amplitude which would be fine with a correct lift angle) but the rest is like a hailstorm.
Everytime I see even the slightest hint of an Omega service case in a sales ad, or elsewhere for that matter, I quickly move on.
This is just another horrifying story involving such a case.....😲 🫨
I am by no means a defender of Omega, but I think blaming this mess on them is a bit much. There is no proof that the watch was sent to an Omega facility, and knowing how anal they are about keeping everything original to the specific model and not allowing "mods", I'm 100% positive they would not have put the wrong hands on this watch.
The dealer likely did this service in-house or sent it out to their local trade watchmaker...
Cheers, Al
You are jumping into conclusions Al. I´m not blaming Omega in this case. I just expressed how I react when I realise that a vintage watch has visited Omega or one of their service centers. The risk is to great for me that the watch has been altered in an unfavourable way, even if correct aftermarket replacement parts have been used.
