A quick check before purchase

So I have in my possession this seamaster Geneve. I am looking to buy it from a friend and wanted a quick check to make sure it is all good. I always check with the OF members first.

The omega logo on the crown seems worn down and it might have had an engraving on the caseback of someone’s name and it was removed. The crystal has the omega logo on it so it’s an original but does the rest look good?

7:00 lug looks bent. Back too polished..
The caseback had an engraving and it was removed so yeah it’s polished pretty hard.

mill check on the lug though. Good pick up

Not just the caseback - the whole watch has seen pretty heavy polishing. Those lugs used to have a sharp edge.

It’s genuine but I wouldn’t pay a penny over spot gold price for it.

I think the photos weren’t that’s great what I can see on the photos and in person are a bit different. Here is some sharp edging that the last photos didn’t show. This is across the whole watch. Is this still rounded from polishing?

See….price quoted earlier you would have had a quicker NO 😉
Half that price it’s a not so bad a proposition ….

All good I’ll see if I can get it cheap and point out all the issues if not no harm no foul.

I would want a picture with out a strap flat on a surface to see how bad that lug is bent….

The fact that the "gold" is 9k is extremely relevant to pricing.

Yeah I was wearing it at work and it literally fell apart. It was a cheap one and I had to get home so…..

for 1450 aud you can find far nicer examples. the logo missing on the back will make the watch lose a lot of its attractive
