Vague Watch Co. has an interesting take on a Submariner homage, with a faded bezel and a distressed case:

Somehow this sold out. Perhaps it’s because it has cool features such as:

“It's built with an automatic movement, meaning you'll never have to change a battery, as the watch is powered by the movement of your arm during wear.”

Personally I wouldn’t buy a homage watch and certainly wouldn’t buy one for $475

At least with these watches can we just say “imitation” and avoid the far too flattering “homage” claptrap?

Same here, just trying to steer you away from that tragic invicta. The Vague Grey Fade doesn't look sold out on their own site.
