Hey guys,

I need some OF expertise, because I know nothing about bracelets.

I bought a watch because of it's bracelet. I was searching a flat link bracelet for my 165.024. I saw this watch and the bracelet looked like a 7912 (pictures were unclear). And when arrived it looked to be the real deal. It came with #4 end links. I know the 7912 is for the early speedys and the 165.014 (19mm). But I saw some posts in which somebody said he uses the 7912 for a 165.024 (20mm). So here are the questions.

Is the bracelet genuine?
If so, can I use it for my 165.024?
If so, which end links would fit?

As always, thnx a lot guys!

Bracelet looks genuine and yes you can use it for your 165.024 but since you will need 20mm endlinks and since these 7912 was designed for 18 and 19mm endlinks it will look a bit odd. I don't recall the exact numbers from my head but I think the 7912 and 1035 bracelets have last links that are a bit under 18mm wide while the 1506 and 1039 bracelets that was intended for the 20mm endlinks have last links that are a bit under 20mm wide.

You will need nr 16 or 516 endlinks which are 20mm.

Also if you want a period correct bracelet for your watch it probably would not be a match with a -63 stamped bracelet, 165.024 was introduced 1964 if I remember correctly. But that maybe matters less since the bracelet is not original to the reference anywasys.

Thnx! Good to hear it's genuine!

The 165.024 is from 1967. But I'm not a real purist. Although I already received a trade offer with a 1039 or 1506. But if it's look weird on a 20mm end link maybe I should do the trade.

If you can do a straight trade for an 1039 and especially a 1506 bracelet which are way more uncommon and more expensive its a no-brainer IMO. The hard part is still to find the endlinks though, a 516 pair would probably set you off 500-1000EUR and 16's for the 1506 bracelet even more.

But the 1039/516 is likely the bracelet that would have been originally to your watch since the 1506 was not produced -67 I think.

Saw this in watch shop last summer. Watch and bracelet were spotless. 7912 and I see 6 on endlink. Looks good to me

Although I personally think the 1039/1506 looks better as they are meant for the 20mm lugs, I believe 7912/16 was a dealer option for the early 166.024
