I LOVE those 3D indices, that’s such a cool watch 👍

What’s a ‘Chris Craft’? Is that some kind of water/space vehicle for anyone called Chris?!? Or is it a watch dedicated to the boatbuilder?
Chris Craft = Awesome

Chris Kraft (NASA flight director) wasn't too shabby himself

Good spot @rob#1
I missed it looking at @rcs914's wrist Stone Henge

@rcs914 - Are the days all numbered 1 to 7 (Monday to Sunday)? Or is that first number independent of the Day and serves some other purpose? I don't remember seeing this before.

Watches from the 70s that compete with Hamilton Electrics from the 50s for weird? You be the judge. The Venturs from 1957, and the Everest from the same era. Both designed by Richard Arbib who worked with General Motors designer a Harley Earl to put fins on the 1948 Cadillac.

Also, a ‘70s vintage Bulova Accutron, unusual in colour and shape. And another that reflects an era when men wore leisure suits, platform shoes, with patterned shirts open at the neck, gobs of neck chains, and long hair. And a far out Bulova Computron digital driver’sView attachment 1021786 View attachment 1021787 View attachment 1021787 View attachment 1021786 watch.

Yep, it's an association to the boat, but trying to to find any information about how or exactly when has proved unfruitful. And yes, the days of the week are all numbered like that - it's on the same part of the date wheel. When I bought this there was literally zero information online about this model, but since then I've found other pictures from Italian and German watch sites that have more info. It also came in a white dial, and contains an A.Schild movement. Mondia was part of the Mondia-Zenith-Movado group when this was made. The case has one of the most bizarre methods to attach a caseback that I've ever seen. Mine has never been off but I found pictures one time where someone else had. Let me see if I can find them, as it's interesting. All in all it is a great watch, and one of my favorite buys off of Ebay ever, all for the princely sum of $37.

Here are two pictures that someone had posted to uhrforum.de of the back and with the cover removed:

A WP was my dream watch in 1975 - I was 13!
Mine started to act up last Fall. I changed the batteries and it got worse. I communicated with @Canuck and he walked me through the process of taking it apart. That did not help solve the issue. Canuck is not going to be happy if he reads that I had used cheap dollar store batteries. @Braindrain suggested I try better batteries and this seems to have paid off. I almost dumped this watch. Keeping an eye on it now. I considered getting a new Hamilton as replacement. Hoping to stay with the WP.
