It's not about the year. It's about the GROOVE. 70s...late 60s...you gotta feel it, baby. Bring out those clunky, crazy shaped cases, wild colors, and funky designs that went perfectly with your lime green leisure suit or the striped bell bottoms and bright yellow shirt with the huge collar and puffy sleeves you wore in 3rd grade. And this is a great place for those sexy jump timers and LED (and LCD) digitals that were outtasight in the 70s. SOLID! Keep on truckin'!

Remember "I can't believe I ate the WHOLE thing?" Another 70s classic from the decade that gave you "two all beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions, on a sesame seed bun." I will never forget that, but I can't remember anything since.

What a great idea of a thread! Wish I had something to contribute.

I have only one ‘70s watch left in my collection and it’s more ‘60s style.

Edit: Actually, my Granddad’s old retirement watch is ‘70s too I believe

Colorful and definitely extroverted, yet manages to toe the line of timeless design 😁

And another example, a watch whose basic design came about in the late 1960s but was adapted through its short (4 years) lifespan into a true ‘70s funkmaster:

Not super funky but was an early example of the 70’s integrated bracelet.

A splash of orange boy, a sip of reverse panda, blue sundburst inside and an orange chrono hand.. topped with a distinctive case shape ... yap, pretty 70's to me! (unfortunately not gold 😉 )

Those Wakmanns are wild though !
