I sent a 6139 to the factory service center at Seiko U.S.A. several years ago and they did a great job quite reasonably.

If memory serves, @gatorcpa may have information regarding more current service status.

My most trusted Seiko expert, @JimInOz is located in Australia and only accepts Lagavulin as payment (an early form of bitcoin).

I had a great experience with Peter Molloy of East Coast Watchmakers very recently. He did bang up job on my 6139 Blue Pogue, with great communication and a reasonable price given nature of the movement.

I recently sent my 6139 to the USA Seiko service center and they returned it unrepaired, saying they no longer had access to parts. Not sure if that's all parts, or just the ones I needed. Just FYI in case anyone was considering them (otherwise their service has been excellent and affordable).

They don’t really have any parts. They don’t even have caseback gaskets. There are a few guys around that specialize in vintage Seiko.
