Gonna go with a white dial, Jaeger option

Excellent choice; be sure and let us see what you bring home to complete the trio!

When they could get to the same place with one of these?.

One speaks to you, the other is just.... there.
I loved my three Tauruses

I would suggest something dressy from Longines. If you want a piece of really nice American watchmaking, a snazzy RGM piece would really catch my attention. Lastly, if you have any appreciation for the dichotomy of simplicity and elegance, a Nomos would be well under your price point and offer tons of fun wrist time.

Which Nomos are you recommending?

I would go iwc pilot . Different style jlc geophysic is great shout

I actually just realized, a fellow OF member has a JLC white dial LE Geophysic up FS at the moment. No relationship with the seller, just was window shopping and saw it, a beautiful example IMHO of the Geophysic 1958 LE. Might be worth a look at for the OP, if they do decide to go that route.

For the OP's stated budget the world is his oyster if selecting from the Nomos group. Nearly every piece is within his reach monetarily.

I personally have a soft spot for the cleanliness of the Tangente lineup. The Tangomat is pretty slick too, especially if he snags a limited edition Bauhaus anniversary model.

Could always play it safe, snag another Rolex and sell it for an inflated price if you don't end up liking it lol

When looking for a modern dresswatch, I think the Globemaster is a watch to consider... Available in different dial / case variations and coming with a very timeless design.

It’s a great choice. I have this version with the silver dial, and use it as a daily wearer. In my mind the ideal modern dress watch is something that’s flexible, where you can dress it up or down, as what’s considered appropriate in modern occasions is categorically more flexible. The Globemaster does this exceptionally well with a quick strap change.
