Are they good watch to had and what price should it be? ( I'm sorry for asking too much but i interested in watch but not much knowledge and what is real value of the watch so I need help) Omega semaster
One of these just sold for £625 at auction: http://www.bonhams.com/auctions/19807/lot/189/ I don't know anything about this model though, so I can't comment on the particular one you've got there.
The Bonhams one was SS or something, the one in the pics above should be solid gold and its a Melbourne XVI, if its 100% original its worth decent money, over $2K usually on the bay
That's a big IF its all original, the XVI dials are usually far from perfect, that one looks too white and new.
Redial. I've looked at hundreds of these when I was chasing an example for my collection. That's much too white, the SWISS MADE is way too high and too far apart, and the Seamaster doesn't have the dipping r.
The Bonhams watch is a frankenwatch. I know of no Seamaster XVI's made in any other metal but solid gold. The dial on that one may be original, can't tell from the picture. The watch above seems to be correct in all aspects except the dial, which is an OK refinishing job. I would want to make sure of the movement condition before offering to buy. If all is correct under the hood, it's probably a $1K watch as is. Maybe a bit more, as the case seems to be in very nice condition. Now if you could only swap dials with the Bonhams watch..... gatorcpa
