I wear vintage watches everyday! I only take them off if they might get wet or if I think the task at hand might ruin the watch more than a little added character.

I wear mostly vintage but I also wear a relatively new Sinn and a brand new Seiko Turtle reissue and Orient Bambino. There, I said it.

I have a combination of new, not quite new, and vintage watches. They all get worn. I'll travel with some of the vintage watches, but some are only worn around town

I've got new and a fleet of vintage. I love them all but one needs to be super careful with vintage. Case in point .... Doing laundry with my 2998-6 on led to it sitting in a bag of rice for a week. Just dropped some serious cash on its overhaul. My Rolex GMT and Victorinox Dive Master are my sailing / paddle / cycle watches.

I really only wear vintage. The way I maintain piece of mind by wearing a diaper. On those rare occasions when my falling watch misses the bed and I shit myself, embarrassment is minimal and clean up is easy.

I just bought my first vintage watch and I wear it nearly every day. Get a nice first one and you won't want to wear anything else.

Fixed that for you! 😁

Congrats on your first. By its definition, the word "first" tends to portend of others to come ........

Since I got my first vintage watch in 2011, I've only worn vintage watches. Two more and I'll have enough for a different one for each day of the week.

I wear vintage almost every day. In general, they are much more interesting to me than modern watches. I have a couple of modern watches that I tend to wear more when travelling.

Vintage every day for me too. I have friends who swim with their vintage rolexes, but I'm not quite there yet.

Hell yeah. Why would you buy watches if you didn't want to wear them. (That doesn't mean I can not appreciate that sometimes they are just too special to risk in the bad, bad world).

Just follow the advice above and get a few.

I also agree with the theory that you do need a couple of watches that you really dont mind too much if they get a bit beaten up. For some that maybe a 'lesser" vintag, for others it is new sturdy devil. Just got a Seiko Skx 009 for that job

I love the warmth and styling of vintage, so I wear them as much as possible. But I definitely keep them away from water.

I wear my vintage (mostly '70s) Omegas and Heuers constantly, in rotation along with a few modern watches. At this stage there's a '68 Transional, a couple of MKii Speedmasters, a MKiv, a 910 Flightmaster and a NOS built SM300, which are worn regularly without any problems at all. I know that these are all fairly robust, tool watches that were designed to perform so I have no qualms about using them. Just wear and enjoy them.
