2998-62 Pusher issue/Question

Hello all !! I have an issue with a 2998-62 I just acquired.

The watch had what I believed to be service pushers. I sourced the correct ones but now my watchmaker is telling me they’re incompatible. Does a push fit 4mm 2998 pusher exist?? Was there case variation? Who’s wrong or right?? Thank you very much.

Since your watchmaker removed the pushers from the case, I imagine he is right.

I’m not saying “he” is wrong.
Either push fit 4mm 2998 pushers exist or my case is wrong. Perhaps later examples of 2998 cases moved to the larger push fit 4.5mm pushers.
My question is that “something” is wrong with the watch or my information and I would really appreciate someone to clear it up for me. Thanks

Both versions exist ;screw in and friction fit. Which one is right for your case, you know now. Once fitted, you can't see the difference. So, all will be fine.
