Smelly. ha thats funny.

Reminds me of the Joe Pesci in Goodfellas:

"You mean, let me understand this … cuz I … maybe its me, maybe I’m a little fυcked up maybe. I’m funny how? I mean funny, like I’m a clown? I amuse you? I make you laugh? I’m here to fuckin’ amuse you? Whattya you mean funny? Funny how? How am I funny?"

Only 3 people on the set knew that monologue so the rest of the crew reactions are really sincere 😀

The interesting question is, at what price point does it become attractive to buy, and fix the lume and other issues, i.e., de-stink it?

It's probably getting close to fair value. Shame about the lacquer on the lume plots. But if one owned a 2998-1/2/3, I would think this could be easily deodorized and used as a daily beater and keep the -1 in the safe.

I don't think "daily beater" applies to these watches anymore regardless of condition.

Put that "beater" out on the Bay and watch the feeding frenzy.

My "beater"

I guess 'beater' is a relative term.
I'll guarantee that there is somebody somewhere, who regards their Paul Newman Daytona as a 'beater'.
