You know I’m just happy to go into a weekend and not really be sure who will take the win. It’s been a while since F1 has been like this and it’s nice to see. Now if we can only get back into smaller cars with v10’s we can be back to the glory days lol.

Fantastic win for Ferrari but I have to say McLaren really lost the race.. A One Stop strategy is often best at Monza and McLaren shouldn't have dismissed it so readily.. but really happy for Charles and Fred and team

MCL let both drivers compete from the first turn, wearing tires faster thus creating an opportunity for Ferrari. They'll have to learn from this, no reason they shouldn't have won the race. Once Oscar pitted, Charles had clean air helping with his front tires.

Isn't AF Corsa is a private team, not part of Ferrari?
I'm pretty sure you're right

All I’m saying is that Lando looked extremely upset in the cool down, and McLaren needs to tread lightly with the remaining races. OP is an exciting talent as well, but Lando is closest in the championship to Max and he needs every point he can get. If trends continue McLaren will have the constructors championship, get Lando his driver championship.

It’s a Ferrari car. Whether it’s a separate team I think is open interpretation. Ferrari AF Corse and Af Corse are separate teams apparently.

For publicity purposes any manufacturer will be happy claiming a win if it involves any car with their badge on it

I watched the complete COTA Lemans race bit by bit over the last couple days. The specs and regulations must be very tight to keep the races competitive. After a 6 hour race the gap between first and second was less than 2 seconds. The top 7 cars were on the same lap.

It always (well, sometimes) blows my mind how close the finishes can be during Sebring or even LeMans and Daytona.
For those cars to race as long as they do only to end up still fighting towards the end...its awesome.
I don't know what is more impressive - the drivers, the cars or the strategy.

Charles Leclerc crashing his Ferrari at the Loews hairpin… but it’s a Purosang and he was just distracted. I knew Ferrari couldn’t have a perfect week without something going wrong.

How is the F1 TV app? I have DirectTV, and the Disney kerfuffle is dragging on too long. Looking at option for free trials etc. F1 app gets me other racing so I am leaning there.

Nothing here yet on Newey showing up at Aston Martin?
Agreed. It was surly coming down the pipe but now that it is confirmed I can’t wait to see what the genius will do for AM.
Now the question will be… Alonso and Max?

Here are some pictures of last minute preparations for the F1 race in Baku. The view is from my balcony. My apartment is on the main road near the start. We have an open house for friends and colleagues all weekend.
