Great info in this thread.
Fully understand the more modern balance of the older model and I actually prefer the small dial but Omega didn't just want a v2 of the same watch.
Instead they made a full reworked watch.

I will go against the grain here and say I think the latest ones looks VERY old to me. Haha..

After some weird conflict between Omega and my AD, I was finally able to receive my watch.

Shout out to Omega for helping me out! Good customer service is the reason I keep coming back.

I swapped the original strap for a Horween natural shell cordovan strap that I ordered from House of Straps. It will darken beautifully over time.

Glad to have found this thread. I'm waiting for my local AD to get one of these in stock.

I had a SM300 MC when they first came out in 2014. Couldn't stand how shiny the damn thing was, so I'm looking forward to the more subdued tones of this model.

Thanks to all for the pics on this thread. Really helpful.

What...... Come on now, it's not that shiny 😜

Its why I love mine.. That liquidmetal ceramic bezel just looks beautiful!

In all fairness, the original bracelet IS very shiny because of the polished links, and that’s one of the reasons I decided to buy mine on a strap and then buy the SPECTRE brushed bracelet later. That bracelet (also a leather strap or NATO) really tones down the bling.

And I gotta agree about the bezel — it’s a thing of beauty. I finally got a chance to look at one of the new ones, and other than really liking the new bracelet, I was underwhelmed by the rest of the watch. I’m still happy with what I have.

When I bought my first omega last week (diver 300m) I looked at these and they were stunning to see in person. I looked at the two with the leather straps and loved how they looked. I might be going back soon to pick one up.

Wow, they look great everyone; thanks for posting your pics. I can't wait to get mine.

Would it be sacrilege to have the bracelet fully brushed by a professional?

I had mine done by a professional, with zero regrets. Note that the scratches are new, the watchmaker did a perfect job on it.

That looks great! Just what I was thinking. Did you do the sides of the outer links? I'm thinking of doing the sides too to have it match with the mid-case.

I left the sides as-is. I actually like the polished look of the sides.

I can’t believe there isn’t a proper discussion thread about this yet!
I was inisitally excited about the previous Seamaster 300MC when it was released in 2014, but when I tried it on at my OB, it was way to thick and too shiny for my tastes.
I owned the Trilogy version Seamaster 300 for about a year and really liked it.
At the time, I speculated that the future normal Seamaster 300 was going to take many design cues from the Trilogy bpversion and I was right (female end link, reverse polish on the bracelet links, shallower coinedge bezel, more domed crystal)

I am pretty excited about this new version and look forward to trying it on my wrist at my OB.
I like the tapered bracelet, the new dial and lollipop hand. I’m hoping the lug to lug is smaller to make the 41mm case feel less bulky.
If I pull the trigger, something from my humble collection will probably have to go to fund the purchase (my Trilogy Railmaster🙁), so the Seamaster would really have to check many boxes.

What does everyone think about the new Seamaster 300?

I do not like the lollipop second hand.On the bronze gold version they don’t have the lollipop on the second hand.If it’s good for the gold version than it should be good on the stainless steel version.
