£80! But not 100% sure on authenticity! The dial looks like it’s been made buy a monkey

I thought I’d buck the trend and post a square dialled Omega. Not much interest in these models these days, but its mechanical movement is minute, still holds power for about 40 hours, and keeps pretty good time.

Got this for 400$ debt payment. probably not real but I liked it. If it's fake it will be my first fake watch haha.
Sorry no details as I don't know what it is but I can say I've never seen a Speedmaster without a tachymeter around the bezel. It's been serviced and works fine. And the pics are terrible and makemthe back look all beat up but it's actually in great shape . IMG_2457.jpg IMG_2456.jpg

That fake is not even worth $10 - so, $390 is still owed to you.

Edit - it's only qualified for NASA Manned Space "MISSONS" so that's $5, with $395 owed to you.

Haha. Good eye. The guy caught a break I guess. Lucky for him I could care less about the 400$

He must be a good friend then. I think he still owes you a fine bottle of Scotch.

I checked around, and there are places selling a fake automatic wind Faux-mega similar to yours for about $25.

He's a co worker but not a friend. I'm gonna bust the watch open when I get home next week and show him what he paid 1500$ for. I genuinely think he doesn't know it's fake . He's pretty simple. I'll split it in half and show the guts here just for fun. Surely they didn't go as far as to write omega inside.

Here is mine: a 1970 168.0034 The service at Bienne cost more than the watch but what a great way to turn a worn out watch into a nice looking vintage piece that you can wear without worrying about adding extra patina. file1-10.jpeg .

Yikes. The watch is trying to be a Speedmaster according to the dial and back... but it isn't even a chronograph. That right there is enough to know it's fake.

It's also trying to be an earlier generation Seamaster Aqua Terra chronograph because of the markers and style of the face... again, without actually having a chronograph function.

I found this one for USD 245 - I like the watch even though the dial is pretty damaged.

And one of my new favorite watches is this STURMANSKIE, 32,5 mm, from 1950. A Russian watch - supposingly the same model as Yuri Gargarin was wearing in space. Got it for USD 375

Bought a crownless 168.017 with linen dial.
    upload_2019-7-28_20-26-7.png
The movement seemed to be in OK condition and the watch seems to be mostly original apart from the missing crown and stem.

Although it comes with a buckle, I have a full-size 1040 / 518 bracelet waiting for it. And I lied, it is slightly over 500 and I probably overpaid.
