Purchased for a song at a thrift store... I bought this 18k Yellow Gold Ladies 213 Caliber (has it's original band but have put it aside for my sister to wear it once).
Best buy in a few years almost.

This arrived today, but the pusher is really stiff, any recommendations before I replace it? I am a big fan of these Chronostops, allot of bang for the buck

I blame all the Connie-linguists over at the ‘C-shaped Connie thread’ ( :whipped: ) for making me curious to see what the fuss is all about, and in doing so joining their ranks.

Crystal scratched to hell (that’s what all the distortions are - dial is pristine) with some cracks, case is sharp, bracelet is good...This one might just stay...

That looks like a great buy. 👍 Congrats and DIBS.

Whoa whoa whoa, let the record show that I considered the "Congrats, let me know if it's not a keeper... *smiley face*" as a common law "dibs". We may have to consult the by-laws on this one.

Lucky for our respective legal teams I have a feeling this one is not leaving @eugeneandresson any time soon, so probably a moot point!

$499.99 ok really an even $500 but who's counting? Out for service then off for a case refinishing. A damn shame someone would treat the case like this.

Woo yay I can play.
Last time with the picture, I promise, it's either this or a "I bought a Seamaster ..." thread

Sure, you get first DIBS, no problem at all. 😀

Bought my wife this Seamaster Quartz on the bay for $380. It’s at the OB getting checked out and two links added right now. Our 15th anniversary is in August, and I can’t decide if I should give it to her now or wait, she has no idea she’s getting it. I’m also considering having it engraved, but on such a small watch I don’t know where I could put anything. Photo is of my watch, but it’s the pic used on the eBay add.

I picked this one up on FB market place for $250.

Geneve ref. 166.041 cal. 565

The second hands like to jump around every once in awhile but it keeps great time.

Two recent under-$500 additions for me. Both from eBay.

1) 1952 18K Seamaster bumper w/ waffle dial.. no need for detail, you can find that here.

2) 1958 Seamaster Calendar in stainless steel, ref 2849 w/ cal 502. Seems unpolished-ish? Crown has been replaced.

Edit: cal 502, not 503!

The one on the leather strap. $160 minus $80 partial refund (described as "running well" but not running on arrival with a shot mainspring). About $340 total with overhaul, new crystal, and leather strap until I can find one additional gold-filled bracelet link for it.
