·Pictured is my Heuer Skipper 15640 (Cal. 15) against a photo of E Scows racing that I got from Google images. The cool thing about this picture, is that a sailor (and watch collector) reached-out to me after I originally posted. Turns out that he also lives in NJ, and that sail number I-49 (in the picture) is the guy who won the "Rolex Yachtsman of the Year" two years ago. He also mentioned that he was on I-49 and was probably out of frame in this photo! Had no idea, just really liked the shot as a amateur sailor myself. Neat story about our little watch collecting community, and the different ties that bring us together!

edit. Both pictures taken on a small island in the Åland archipelago (between Sweden and Finland). Red granite is what most of the islands there are "made of". This photo contest is supposed to be family oriented but in trying to flirt with the Mrs judge - I will just say this...
It is a remote isolated and barren island. That is my trousers in the background... There is nothing between me and the motifs but my mobile phone camera.
I try to get out on that island for a week now and then to live the simple life. A tent, a sleeping bag and some very simple cooking gear. I catch fish and take in the view. Read and relax. My family has been going there for many generations and it is a paradise.
