Thanks to @Darlinboy for the contest and the lovely prizes. Here is my new Zodiac with my dad's Onega Seamaster DeVille from my winning photo.

A few more shots

And my bonus prizes

I truly enjoy the camaraderie on the forum and the energy Paul brings to it. Thanks so much for the contest and prizes. Such a treat! Thanks again @Darlinboy !

Even though Sinterklaas left my country yesterday, I received a present today in the form of an attractive Omega service case courtesy of @Darlinboy.

When I opened it up, to my surprise I found that he had forgotten to remove his PloProf from the case before sending it to me! 馃槻

.....nah 馃槣. But even although the prize had been advertised as an empty case, I did find a bonus in the form of a very nice canvas NATO strap. I can put this baby to good use on my Speedmaster Date (I'll show some pics once I've put it on there).

The case will also really come in handy. So far, I've been using a generic case to transport my watches to my service guy, but I can put that one the trash now that I have a real Omega one.

Thanks so much @Darlinboy and family! I've only been a member for about a year now, but it's contests like these that make the community feel like more than just a random bunch of people on the internet - and that make me feel part of it.

As a former prize winner in one of Paul's contests, I withheld any entries of mine to give some others a chance 馃槈.

I'll have to sharpen my skills ready for the next competition though, the submissions are getting better every time.

And on this topic, a number of our members have shown extreme generosity and really made this a real community, not just a watch forum.

I believe you do. The Reverend Ollie did some fine work handcrafting them, I have several in use myself.

Handmade, no less? Cool! I just put it on a Mondia Orbitron - I think the olive works surprisingly well with the bordeaux dial. But I believe the strap would really come into its own on a vintage issued CWC or something. To me, it just has that authentic military look and feel. Guess I know what I want for Christmas now ;-)
