I was wondering where you got that picture from, then I looked back and realised I hadn't spotted it sandwiched in between the pictures of the second watch....🤦
Have a look again, it's not "sandwiched in between the pictures of the second watch". It's the other way around. 😁

Both are clear redial. First one is not even pie-pan, it's a dome dial.

If I may follow up on that @TNTwatch with one more question, trying to train my eye here:

While everything that was said is comprehensible for me, the one point I now fail to see is the difference in the form of the dial between 1 and 2 (or, not to confuse you guys again, the one with and the one without the “pie pan line”). Might be the black dial which doesn’t give a clear contrast/show the edge like the brighter dials, but is it possible the second one is also a dome dial? If not, would you mind to point me to a spot in the pictures where this becomes visible?

Again, thanks for the input. Trying to learn as much as possible to survive the aforementioned “minefield” I’m moving in.

That's a good question! I did not bother to have a close look at the 2nd one since it's so obviously a redial. Turns out it's not a pie-pan either but just had the dodecagon painted on.

As you noted, old black dials are harder to see the pie-pan edges so start with non-back pie-pan dials of similar models and vintages to get familiar with, and then be much more careful with black dials.
