··Stripers, not snook.For Sale: 1979 / 1980 Tudor 94110 Blue Snowflake Sub. Original Dial, Original Hands, MK3 Practically Kissing 40 insert, Brushed Silver Datewheel. Just serviced in September by Phillip Ridley. Runs superb. By far my most worn watch over past decade.
Case: Good B condition, original case, 937,xxx Serial, crisp / clear engravings, original 702 Crown / Tube. Not a safe queen, case has soft but original chamfers, I have worn this in saltwater, working on the truck, and in the field so as a true tool watch, dings exist.
Dial: original, perfect Blue Snowflake with original lume with creamy patina.
Hands: original lume with creamy patina, semi-gloss due to FACTORY stabilization on hand top that occurred on late 79 thru early 80s snowflake hands (when watchmakers do preventative stabilization it is done on underside of hands). Hands nicely match the dial.
Crystal: same crystal on watch when acquired a decade ago. Possibly original to the watch, it is a rounded top and has nice color / warmth.
Insert: Super faded MK3 Fat Font Kissing 40 Insert, slight deterioration around pearl hole.
Watch was just serviced by Phillip Ridley, runs fantastic, keeps great time. Because it has original parts (crown / tube, crystal) it is not guaranteed to swim or dive. I have no doubt that service Crown/Tube/Crystal would pass full 200M.
Watch comes on Phoenix Admiralty Grey NATO or Suede NATO. I have a smaller wrist sized Rolex 78360 available for 1K extra.
