1968 Tudor 7016/0 SWISS Only SnowFlake Semi Pointed Crown Guard Sub. Stamped I.68 7528 on caseback. These are very rare and not a run of the mill Snowflake as this is the VERY first Snowflake REF and is among the rarest Tudor subs. Semi Pointed Crown Guards were only made at the Very Beginning of 1968 and almost always came as a Rose Dial, 619K to 626K serial. This is the same style First Snowflake as shown in the Tudor Anthology Book (but this has an earlier serial). The case shape is slightly thinner than all other subs, with a smoothly curved underside of the Crown Guards, and very reminiscent of late 60's 1675 GMTs.

Speculating but there may be less than a couple hundred of these made as I've only come across EIGHT in a decade of focused collecting of Tudor Subs. I have seen more Square Crown Guard 7928 Tudor subs than these SWISS only Blue 7016 Submariners. Second oldest serial I have come across, 624,1xx, first quarter 1968. Of the 7016SPCG Blue Flake SEVEN serials I've collected, all but one are later 624,5xx/625,xxx) .

Case: Good condition B+, original case, 624,1xx Serial, Chamfers remain, crisp / clear engravings, minor pitting at case back gasket. 703 Crown / Tube. Semi Pointed Crown Guard case – was only made beginning of 1968, wears / shaped more like a mid 60’s Rolex 1675 case . Hair thinner than normal Submariner crowned case. Not tested for waterproof.

Dial: Killer original SWISS Only "Confetti Dial" with no rot/bubble. "Pop Tart" Lume. First iteration of Blue Shield Dial Submariners (there may have been some black Shield 7928s sent to South America in 1967). Tritium Sparkle when exposed to UV.

Hands: Correct ORIGNAL Tritium Hands, slightly out of match - the way to tell hands are original on First Snowflakes. Tritium Sparkle when exposed to UV.

Movement: Clean movement with indicated service marks on caseback, no service records. Crown/Tube/Crystal indicates service in previous decade. Keeps good time.

Bracelet: Comes with a Leather NATO and a Phoenix Admiratly Gray. Available is a 1969 Full Link 20MM C&I Rolex bracelet OR the small 78360 which came with the watch, likely purchased during last decade service.
