·Ok, I know it’s not quite a 62MAS or 6105 but this listing is for a cool Seiko 5 Sports 6119 8140 "Sports Diver" Watch mounted on a Black NATO Strap.
These great Seiko Sport Divers are from the Vietnam Era and apparently were often bought by GI's from their PXs on base - I'm definitely not claiming that this is the case with this but I thought I'd sell it with a black NATO strap to add a bit of a military feel.
Mike Stockton at the Fratello Watches site is fond of these and has written a really great article which can be found at https://www.fratellowatches.com/tbt-the-vintage-seiko-sport-divers/
Case- circa 38mm Stainless Steel in Good Original Condition, seems pretty sharp
Lugs- 19mm as is typical for many Seikos of this era
Bezel- Fixed with 12 hr slots
Day - English Day Wheel
Date- Quick Set
Dial- Black Featuring the logo of the Suwa Seiko factory and 70m Resist (Water resistance is not tested), Puffy Lume indices
Hands - Nice Red Lollipop Second hand, Baton style hour and minute hands - lume is a bit greener on these (would look better with a relume on these I think)
Serial No. - indicates a production date of May 1968
Crystal- Domed Hardlex Crystal marks and nibbles particularly around the edge
Service History - Unknown, but seems to run well like many Seikos. Timing accuracy not tested, but reasonably accurate over the course of a few days of wrist time. The functions work nicely.
The photos- taken on my Windowsill at home in bright morning sunlight, not quite a light box but as good as I can muster with my trusty iPhone.
I think the photos provide a good representation of the Watch - so have a good look and a zoom in on the detail.
If you've any questions please let me know - I'll do my best to answer.
I’ve a few references here on OF, so please take a look. I try to operate with integrity in whatever I do.
I’m based in the U.K., in between Reading and Oxford
Price- £100- net to me (we can discuss the details - shipping, payment method etc)
