·FOR SALE: (more thinning of the Seikos)
Original Vintage Seiko Sport 5 Speedtimer Chronograph 6139-7020 JDM (Special edition Seiko racing team), from July 1972.
This JDM-only watch is part of the Seiko Racing Team series, with 21 jewels they were a step up from the normal 17 Jewel 6139. It features usual chronograph functions of the 6139 line, with a split two tone sub register with vibrant blue.
Dial: Matte black with sub register, Speedtimer logo in original bright orange little to no fade, black count down inner bezel rotates as it should via the crown. Minute track in orange printing intact. Lume intact throughout in good shape. Day date window black with English and Kanji.
Hands: Original white hour and minute hands in good condition. Bright orange original sweep and subregister hands. All original.
Movement: 21 J JDM version of famous 6139 chronograph, keeping good vintage time, all functions working as they should. Quickset working. Chrono working properly start stop and resets to zero.
Case: Unpolished stainless steel tonneau case in very good condition, some wear from use retains original brushing. Cade caseback screw down, no evidence of polishing.
Crown/pushers: Original, in good condition, all working without sticking.
Service history: Watch was serviced by prior seller in Dec 2021 before I bought it. Has worked well since. No detailed service records. Shot of timegrapher data from prior seller shows good numbers.
Bracelet: Original hard to find JDM Seiko 5 Sports stainless bracelet, fits my 7 ¾” wrist with spring extender, fits 7 ¼” wrist without extender. In good shape some marks from wear as shown.
Crystal: Orig Seiko Hardlex mineral glass, no visible scratches or marks in good condition.
Accesories: Watch and strap only, no papers or box
