Interest seems to have died down on these.

Just had a look at the new one online.
Is this the Ed White tribute we've been waiting 10 years for @TLIGuy ? 🥺

This seems insane:
"This timepiece features two unique counters at 10 and 2 o’clock. The first indicates the number 19 (normally 60) at the top, while the other displays the number 65 (normally 10), referencing the year 1965. These counters have been calibrated to total 19 hours (counter at 10 o’ clock) and 65 minutes (counter at 2 o’ clock), making the chronograph reading a bit different than the typical chronographs. The numbers 19, 65 and 60 (on the counter at 6 o’clock) glow blue under UV light, paying tribute to the OMEGA Speedmaster and the flight qualification it received from NASA, 60 years ago, in 1965."

There's a video on the Swatch site of how it works.
Just doesn't seem logical.

The video isn't quite long enough, or rather restarts too quickly, not allowing you time to understand what's going on.
The (19) hour subdial doesn't move until 65 minutes are up.
Simultaneously the (65) minute subdial hand "jumps" from 65 to 5 minutes.

So it does show one hour and five minutes elapsed.

Generelly Nick Hayek created a Moonswatch - Hype and that was good to earn money

everyone can find and buy the modell he likes

for me this new modell is a bid over the top, but i like the step dial

I've got better uses for $270 + tax, but the hype train rolls on.

The 19 and 65 are confusing to use, but maybe most users will never come to that functionality anyway. They are there for symbolism. Step dial and applied historical Omega logo are a winner though.

Already being faked in China no doubt. I like the idea of this watch, but it's harder to get a real one than a real Omega. Swatch group has fewer Swatch stores than Omega Boutiques and dealers.

They're silly, and too expensive. But I have too cause they were the closest I'm ever gonna come to a Project Alaska or a Snoopy.

This is the only Swatch I'd even consider, due to the odd movement alone.

Future collectable I suspect.

Initial price high, then it'll tank as people try to wrap their head around the chronograph, then prices will climb once again.

I also like the Blancpain / Swatch automatic they have as well. That is actually on the short list for me. (the black one)

Dunno.

It has a 51-piece automatic movement inside. Looks like the case back comes off, so a donor at least could be fitted if "non-serviceable".

First automatic I ever heard of for Swatch. 90-hour power reserve is rather impressive as well. If it had the Silicon hairspring I'd already have one inbound... Looking for a cheapie/preowned to try it out.

Ran down to the Swatch store to buy a rubber strap only to find out they are online only. I should read all the way to the bottom. They did have a set on display to fit my wrist as they have 5 different sizes.
Swatch boutique had the Ed White on display along with a Wittnauer and Rolex looking chronos on either side (non functional). Strange.
I would have insisted on an Ed White with straight lugs but that's just me. Cool looking. Said will be re-stocked later this week.

Anyway, placed an order for a black rubber strap online with Swatch. Sad that I couldn't get instant gratification.
