Asking a watch dealer if he’d sell a watch = ejected for poor manners? Sounds reasonable.
There's a difference between a "Watch Dealer" and an Ultra High-end Jewelry" business . And I did not say you'd be ejected just for asking.
But you would if you were rudely persistent. Please try and chill out with the sarcasm.

Clearly I misunderstood you when you said “high end dealer” in the context of talking about high end watches.

Also please note that I never suggested a person be “rudely persistent” and I’m unclear as to why that premise was injected.

Maybe both of us need to chill out some?

I have long admired the aesthetics of these early GMTs. When I first started looking they were around $15,000-$19,000 for a nice example, still way too much for my just-out-of-grad school budget. Now I only look at these on a computer screen as there is just too much radium involved.

Don´t think, that this radium is a problem, when you don´t wear the watch all day and night.

I am sure you are right. I don't want something that produces gamma radiation anywhere near me!
I was assured by the blokes that installed our energy dispersive x-ray fluorescence spectrometer that we can be in the same room to operate it...no thanks, I choose to be in the lead lined control room! I may be too cautious, but that's just the way I am now. (i.e. Just because something is legal, doesn't make it safe.)

Aaaaaand it‘s sold!
Beautifully piece, those bakelite bezels are so delicate. Those come up very rarely, let alone in nice and correct condition.

Yes, 99% of those bakelites are not in this good shape, because of the radium
