Hello OF, Up for sale is a Zodiac Seawolf with a black dial. It comes with the original bracelet. This watch was produced as a divers watch in the late 60s or early 70s but pairing it with the bracelet, it seems apt enough for modern desk divers. Dial Original script, not a redial! Original lume with triangle lume plots at 6,9 and 12. It has aged to a nice honey colour. Font appears to be glittery under a 30x loupe. Hands Original hands. Aged slightly differently from the lume on the dial but I believe it to be original as I have examined the lume under the loupe and the texture seems consistent with the dial. Macro photos of the lume on the hand can be provided. Both the lume on the dial and hands glow slightly in a pitch dark room and when tested with a black light, they both maintain their glow for a couple of seconds equally. Case 35.5mm case without crown, 38.5mm with crown. Sharp and in good condition. Scuff marks present but no dings or deep scratches. Original crown present. Caseback has some scratches, probably due to an overzealous watchmaker that was trying to open the case. Bezel Nice bakelite bezel with no missing paint or bits. Fully intact and hard to come by on these tool watches. Lume on the bezel glows similarly to the lume on the dials and hands as mentioned above. Crystal I’m unaware if it’s an original crystal as I do not have any other Seawolves to compare to but it does have a high domed crystal which is in line with the description of the original crystals on Zodiac Seawolves. Movement It houses a 70-72(iirc) automatic movement and still has good power reserve. It has a hacking mechanism as expected of later zodiac seawolfs. Date mechanism works well and jumps with vigor at 12. I have no movement shots as I dare not attempt to open it. I will try and get some if needed but it might take a couple of days. Service history is unknown. Bracelet Comes with a tight Zodiac bracelet made by Kreisler with seems to have minimal usage. Extra links are provided as well. I cannot provide any guarantee for the watch as it is a vintage piece. Even though it was produced as a diver’s watch, I cannot guarantee its waterproofing or resistance abilities. I strongly advise stepping into a shower or rain with it, let alone diving. Doesn’t come with any box or paper. Watch and I are located in UK. I am asking for £800 Now: £700 OBRO, shipped within UK. International shipping at cost, less £10. I accept bank transfer or PayPal (add 4% if not using friends and family). I have sold several watches on this forum. Feel free to ask me for references! EDIT: forgot caseback photos. Sorry for the terrible photos, taken at night in the living room. I can upload better photos tomorrow if needed. The marks mentioned above can be seen in this photo. I've tried to capture it the best as I can.
Bump for the weekend! Have a great one guys. Will consider all offers. Don’t be afraid to make me one!
