·You'll have to forgive my "white" lie. I did state it was of sentimental value as in an effort to get the dial back from Lindsay Stampfli I had told her that it was my late father's in an attempt to prick her conscience. I said the same here in case she or associates saw the post. I needent have bothered.
In reality I bought the watch at auction for about £500. As per my original post I had pretty-well written off this watch as both a stupid purchase in the first place followed by the debacle with Lindsay. Now I have the complete watch again I'm in two minds as what to do.
I think I am more disposed to getting the dial redone. It'll cost £280ish but I suppose given I'd almost given up on the whole project... I'll think about it for a couple of days.
