Some of you may recall my January thread asking for help ID’ing my great-grandfather’s 1950 Ref 14311. Thank you to those who offered advice on tastefully restoring it.

I got the watch back from a watchmaker this week and am quite happy with it. With help from you, I sourced a scrap Omega watch face that had what I believe are the same period 3-6-9 faceted arrow markers.

The watchmaker applied them to my watch and replaced the badly worn crystal. I bought a vintage gold Omega buckle that I believe is from around the period.

Looks great! I just read the other thread. You got a bunch of great advice from some true Omega sages. This story is what OF is all about. 😀

Now you need an avatar, perhaps a picture of a certain special 14311 Omega would do.
