Hi All.

I recently purchased this lovely 145.022 69
Ref 861. The movement is loose. When I pull the crown the movement moves towards the crown. The watch needs a service and will be getting it but any part I can order to fix this present issue?
Thanks all for your help.

You appear to be missing the inner anti-magnetic cover. This cover goes over the movement spacer, and is held down by making contacty wioth the case back - this arrangement keeps the watch firmly in place. Since that cover is missing, someone has tried to add case clamps (which are not used on this model) to make up for it.

Those should be removed and the inner cover installed, and the movement will be held solidly in the case.

Thanks for your helpful response Archer. I've sourced one from England for £90. Hard to find on US or Can eBay.

Greetings, and welcome to the Forum!
The movement is really in need for a service, and I do hope that you have a watchmaker who knows how to work on vintage Speedys?
Please do share more pictures of the watch?
And you have an exciting serial nr....😀

Why is it exciting? Can you elucidate for those of us that have not memorized Speedmaster 101?

First four number (2911).
2 + 9 =11

Second set of numbers (347)

3 + 4 = 7

Last number is a 6, but has morphed into a capital S (for Satan), therefore twice defined as the "Number of the Beast".

Exciting may be an exaggeration, but some dials in the 2911xxxx range turn brown.

Thank you. The slate dial on my 1987 Constellation has also become chocolate. It looks great. Omega offered to replace it a couple years ago when it went to Switzerland for service, but i kept it as is.
I hope you will not send the Speedy to Omega....?

Should I be wearing it with a looae movement or wait until I have the part and or it's serviced?

I think that you should let the watch rest, and use it after the service.
The gasket is missing...

And...erhmm.....pictures?
😉
