Yeah... I didn't want to say! So what are the chances of it being a fugazi...?
It isn't, the only thing that isn't clear is the situation on the caseback and where it fits into the other variants and whether its original to the watch. The price however most would agree is a bit insane.

Maybe I should invite the dealers to join the discussion? They might have some valuable insight into its history...

My original question was about the high price - I assumed it's all original because having spoken with the dealers before about a different watch they were not selling, they gave me amazing insight into why the one I was looking at was fake in so many ways. So I trust them. And secondly, I'm new to the watch game in general so I'm easily led!

Even in this market, that isn't anywhere near a $14K watch, its crazy money when you consider what you could get for that instead, including a nicer 321.

As a newbie... they do seem damn hard to find though... many of the popular variants... and then there's the problem of authenticity... : \

The 2 things I would want to see to feel
Comfort in the legitimacy is:
- Another one of these "pointed A" Apollo XI cases backs
-Another Apollo XI caseback in the 29636xx
Serial area

Case in point, the collector grade 105.012 listed FS here.

Here're another two. I've seen another one with the number on it elsewhere also. Doesn't mean this back is correct for the 29mil serial number.

Oh I see...haha

Refers to a very nice gift set. Comes with some tiny gloves and a big knife.

This is starting to get way too complicated!

I'm still not sure I quite understand what the "pointed A" is....
