hm yes,...thats not very promising tbh. There is also a guy in Israel, but I have just seen of his work in time-only watches. Though the Longines stuff looked good.

On the one hand its good that we see obvious differences between redial dials and genuine ones, but from a restoring perspective its a shame to see such results.

If you go for a more simple design and not the multicolor/scale
overload you are more likely to get a ok result.

Finally I can add something here too and would like to hear what you think. It’s an old mono pusher 13zn with an what looks to be real old redial. Case is 34mm. Checking the serial with Longines is the next step.

Nico

Got my reply from Longines:

Sorry for the "wrong" language. Watch was delivered to Germany in 1940.

Thanks, but its allready in my possession. The price allready considered the bad redial and was maybe the price of the movement alone. So no worries. I am planning to give it to Causemann or some other redial expert until a dial pops up (which will be unlikely 😁

Nice watch. I don't think the whole of the watch should be

Hi. Nice watch regardless of the dial . It's a historical timepiece that deserves it's place in time.

Thanks for posting it. Nice, indeed. Maybe the estimate was slightly high but I like the watch. Correct crown, hands, evenly worn dial, not overly polished case. I think that the market has softened for examples that are not in mint condition, large (+37 mm), waterproof, or with a special dial (e.g. black).

Running in 2019, not running in 2020. Movement still full of rust.

Where does it say not running in 2020?

You should have bought it back in 2019 when it sold for 54000 Sek😉

I knew I had seen that watch before, it`s a small 13ZN world.
Unfortunately the prices just go into one direction - up and up. Not only 13ZN, all more uncommon watches, also the 3-hander with interesting dials or larger sizes. We know that all and can't change it. If that 13ZN had a larger size than 34mm the price surely would have been higher.

Hello all. Always love dropping in on this thread. The 13ZN is, IMHO, the top of the vintage chronograph world, but also one of the most dangerous areas to play. Thoughts on this early 3721 for the French market? Movement, case, hands, etc. all check out. Dial matches the advertisement in the 1937 French Longines catalog. Any issues?
