Just FYI. Maybe you've seen it before. Sold at Kaplans Auctions in Stockholm back in, I think 2016. It wasn't actually Kaplans who sold it. It was a pawn shop who were selling through Kaplans. That's the reason for the low estimate/starting bid. It never passed by the watch departmen. Anyway, sold for around £15.000 incl buyers premium.

Looks original/untouched regarding dial and hands doesn't it? Looks relumed to me though? Ref?

Ah yes, I remember seeing this one. Agree, with @Radiumpassion, another ref. 5415. Dial and hands look original and I do not necessarily think that it has been re-lumed.

Comparing with the 5415 published in John Goldenbergers LONGINES book, I belive that the Kaplan example lume was at least replaced in parts. Just my personal opinion.

Up and running👍. Will keep my eyes on the market for hour and minute hand. Also, will not relume the dial. I'm happy as it is. 😉

Turned out great! I like the dial as is, too. Thanks for sharing photos of the finished product. Enjoy it!

A much debated Longines Sommatore trades on the 'Bay.

Q.E.D.

Holy cow that seems like a great price to me. You were right on this one that the 31k wasn't a steal after all - ouch to the seller.

Finally I can add something here too and would like to hear what you think. It’s an old mono pusher 13zn with an what looks to be real old redial. Case is 34mm. Checking the serial with Longines is the next step.

Hi Nico, this is indeed a redial. Unfortunately, whether it is an old one or performed yesterday has no bearing on legitimacy. This one is quite poorly done, in terms of design and execution. I would strongly recommend passing on this watch.

Thanks, but its allready in my possession. The price allready considered the bad redial and was maybe the price of the movement alone. So no worries. I am planning to give it to Causemann or some other redial expert until a dial pops up (which will be unlikely 😁

If a 13ZN monopusher ever was featured in a cartoon it would look like that😁

It will be interesting to follow this project😀 @JimJupiter

@JimJupiter In that case, enjoy. I think most people would agree that the star of any 13ZN watch is its movement. Yours looks to be in pretty good condition. I echo @Radiumpassion's sentiments, it would be neat to see how this project unfolds. Here is a nice article about a 13ZN with a contemporary case, dial, and hands that turned out very well: https://watchesbysjx.com/2020/09/laine-watches-13zn-chronograph-longines.html

Hi Nico,
before you spend money, I wanted to show you a dial refurbished by Causemann, which I unfortunately bought in the nineties. I think it´s a pity for the money. The currently mounted dial is at least funny.
