Hi guys, again in my quest for a good 13ZN that does not break my bank account. This one is smaller at ~35mm and does not have flyback function (extract says delivered in Switzerland in 1939). 10k€ asking price. Any thoughts, please? Thanks a lot in advance!

Wait for the experts... but I like it. Hands look OK, and the dial looks great, as the 35mm stepped case, even if polshied.
More important are the serial of movement and caseback...
10k is a lot of money, but if you can afford and like it a lot...

Thanks a lot! Yes, caseback and movement match.

Very nice Longines, but the dial is not perfect for 10K euro asking price.

Thanks! What do you think the ballpark figure should be?

looks like a nice and honest early watch. I would check with an Extract from Longines. I guess nice and original 13zn will not become cheaper in future. So this could be worth considering.

Thanks! It does come with an Extract from Longines confirming delivery to their swiss agent in 1939...

Very nice, I think it`s worth 10K but may be a little biased since I already
got a 13ZN😉

Ahahah!! Thanks! Although it is consistent, do you think not having flyback affects value?

I assume it makes it rarer, but I would prefer flyback.

Looking at a late 1940`s watchmaking book I may have Discovered the
correct way to fit a Longines waterproof snapback. The rim shall
face towards the lugs👍

And I even had the tool without knowing it😬

And a watch to practice on::rimshot::

@Radiumpassion Lovely illustrations and a fascinating tool. A bit painful to imagine it being used as intended, though. 😲

Agree! I don`t think the proper way to open a watch case is so much like opening
a bottle of beer😉

Hey everyone, curious about this piece. As much as for my education as for possibly buying. I’m wary of it - both because of the dealers reputation in some circles and because of the variety and cleanliness of the fonts (especially the pulsations scale relative to everything else) - but would be nice to be told that I’m wrong! Here’s one picture and the link for the full listing. No pictures of the movement or caseback up but have asked for those.
