Even so . The dial looks very nice
Here is an original dial for comparison. As you will note, essentially every detail is different. For example, look at the fonts of "Longines" and "Anti-Magnetique". Also note the characteristic chronograph second hand with circular counterpoise.

$65k for a redialed mushroom pusher. That’s a bit rich. Oramundi in Brazil had one last year for under $20k with a beat to hell original dial if I remember correctly. And you want $40 for shipping if someone spends $65k? Classy

Hey 13ZN Guys-

This is my 34mm fixed lug 13ZN.
I know the hands are wrong.
But now wondering about the dial after looking through this thread.
Am I looking at an older redial here?
Anything else wrong with this one?
TIA for any criticism-
Cheers,

Todd

Oooooooo, very nice find, Todd! As far as I can tell, nothing looks amiss. "M" on movement matches "Fab. Suisse" on dial. Movement is in lovely condition, as is the sharp case. Crown looks correct. Even the crystal is low-profile and has no strange distortions. I think that the hands are correct too. A really spectacular 13ZN, probably sold to France in 1938. Congrats!!

Wonderful to hear! Thanks....

I always thought that the hands were aftermarket as they are so new looking and not the typical "leaf" design that I am used to seeing in these.

And yes, the case is super sharp. Lugs and facets are knife-like but I wonder if the midcase was resatinized. Very tough for me to determine.

Again, many thanks for your insights.

Todd

While leaf hands do seem to be more prevalent, these straight hands appear on other 13ZN examples from the period. Here is one on eBay now, from circa 1939 (first image). Regarding the mid-case, I am not certain. The rest of the watch would suggest otherwise, in my view. Here is another one for comparison (second image). Regardless, a cracking piece.

DD,
Yes, those hands do look identical to mine-

And the case almost looks "too good to be true", so I am usually skeptical in a watch this age. But examination under loupe reveals no tell tell signs of polishing, so it looks like I've got a winner here.

I've had it for several years and wear it from time to time but never bothered to give it a very critical once-over until last night when I read this thread-

Thanks!
Todd

I´m not sure about the Dial. Standing numerals in the counters are unusual and the dial foot appears silvered.

Did someone here was looking after the transitional onepusher 13zn that ended yesterday at ebay.
Very rare iteration and dial with a lot of patina/worn hard.
2.3k $, not that bad as it looks all original to me.
I would not call this a "transitional" 13ZN as earlier examples with two pushers exist. And though there are likely fewer single-pusher examples, I would not classify them as "very rare". The dial/hands/crown look original to me but the polished case, heavily worn dial, and small size are all detractors. On the other hand, it would be difficult to find a 13ZN with an original dial for less.

Well it would have been, I was the winner, however the vendor provided a tracking number on the ebay details which has provided information that it was in fact delivered to basel Switzerland instead of the uk. To someone totally different. I only found out when I received a DHL notification that the item had been delivered and signed for. So its either fraud or incompetence.

Out of interest did the monopusher have the flyback feature?
"Monopusher" and "flyback" are mutually exclusive.
