Probably one of the most expensive dials: one can get a 13ZN12 equipped with a fake dial between 15.000 and 20.000 USD (perhaps more but i don´t believe so...) so it would be 87.000 USD for this Longines dial (not a PPC or other high end)! rgds - h.u.
Just doesnt seem all that interesting. There were two of them, been around a long long time. Started north of $25 & $20k. Dial looks ok, lugs are really blah. Plus it's midsized.
Hi all, Many years ago, I acquired a large case square pusher Longines 13ZN-12. I bought it mainly because I loved the idea of the elapsed centre minute hand and the fact that it belonged to of rare Longines' in house' modification brotherhood. Unfortunately, the dial appeared to have been re-painted by a half blind monkey !! I felt I had no choice but to get the dial re-done. Anyway, I'm now in a position where I may need to sell this watch and I wondered what the collective view was on it's value, taking into account the re-finished dial. I realise that an original dial version of this watch would be hugely expensive - so what would this one be worth ? Mechanically all works correctly, winds, sets, good power reserve and timekeeping, the chrono functions all good and re-setting to zero. Some pictures below, the last one is of the watch dial before the refinish. Thanks.
...I sold one (the waterproof/screwdown model) last year for 13.000 € *. I don´t know, if it is possible to get more than this. Maybe the most significant difference in value between a redialed and a correct-dialed wristwatch. Good luck! *I am NOT a watch dealer. Both, buyer and seller asked a german (Longines focused) trader what he thinks; he proposed the 13k. rgds - h.u.
I would have said less having seen another redialed sommatore central, a 23086 go for 10 or so, but that was a year ago.
