Only one more week of often idle speculation until we know what Omega will, or won't, do.

If it goes with a 35% discount instead 20, no problem. 馃お

I was joking. I used to get in Speedmasters 33% 5 years ago, 27% 3 years ago, 20% 18 months ago. 15% some friends a few weeks ago.
Those days are maybe gone.

That鈥檚 right, it was +$200 on the SMP Divers.

I don鈥檛 get it though, since you can still get them new from an AD (with a 5-year Omega warranty) for the ~$4,600 mark. That鈥檚 down from an MSRP of $5,400.

I get it. Omega is repositioning itself (after all, high quality products shouldn鈥檛 ever be discounted). But that鈥檚 not the case on the ground. Far from it.

It's been known that Omega is REALLY getting strict about discounts these days.

Omega's price increase (alone) is not what's pricing me out of another watch. It's the cost of gasoline, food, clothing, medical and taxes that's beating my wallet to death. Watch price increases are just adding insult to injury.

Hello all. I had a previous account on here, but that was years ago (and different email). Anyway, can anyone share their favorite AD? I'm looking to pick up a 3861 soon. I've been quoted 10% off, and my local will do 5%. Much appreciated. Thanks.

I actually had that in mind when I was making my post, but forgot. Old age, I guess.

I'm in the US. Thanks again.

I am right there with you. It costs me $40+ to fill up nowadays. Prior to this year never saw that number before. So depressing.

Call Rob at Topper Jewlers. Refer the forums and see what they can do for you. I doubt it will be a lot more than the 10% that you have already been quoted.

Hopefully you get one before Feb 1st before they hike the price

I have just ordered another omega that I was going to buy later on; but I would rather have it now and pay less.

If nothing happens on the 1st Feb not an issue I will have just got said watch earlier and get to enjoy it earlier.

Prices are indeed going up. I've confirmed this with two respectable AD's in my country (Poland) - one told me that before I even asked. From what I heard, we should expect an 8% increase on average, so later today I'm picking up my Aqua Terra I was planning to get on my birthday (march).

For comparison, Longines watches will go up 13% on average.

Just bought the Aqua Terra at my AD. They already have the new price in their system - was 26600 PLN, is 28700 PLN (~8% increase). 43Kke5G.jpg
