So I'm back on my on-again-off-again Compur search, with more questions for the Zenith gurus (sorry guys!)

This one pops up. As far as I can tell:

- dial looks appropriately patinated and doesn't seem to be a redial
- Case looks OK (seller says it's unpolished).
- Crown has the Zenith logo, so I'm not sure if that's correct, some of the other models seem to have plain crowns?
- movt looks correct, based on googling other 'cal 136' images. Couldn't find Zenith 136 on the Ranfft webpage though.
- as for the hands, I'm not sure. I'm inclined to think they're original, but not sure here. Googling shows a bewildering range of dial / hand combos , none of which seem to fit this watch exactly. 馃槙

So is it all kosher? Seller is asking EUR1850 but negotiable. Any advice as to authenticity or price will be greatly appreciated, thanks guys!

The dial and hands are exactly as their UG counterparts, at least similar to the one I have.

I am no expert but what intrigues me is th steel case. It seems this dial is a natural in gold, steel is much rarer in occurrence as well in the hunt 馃榾

Ask for better pictures. The hour dots look to me to be encroaching the sub dials.

I like the long chronograph seconds hand. Looks cool.

Zenith finished their Martel movements far beyond what Universal Geneve ever did.

Thanks Eric! BTW, is your Compur also 37mm w/o crown? IIRC, I saw it at the GTG it was 37mm and nicely sized.

Darn, seller has replied to say the watch is actually 35mm w/o crown, and I was looking for a 37-38mm sized bicompax.

Back to the hunt, and thanks E & D for your inputs!

Franken. 22281 is a Universal reference and the Zenith cases were so marked inside the caseback. Crown from the wrong era of Zenith as well.
