    i have no idea whether zenith bought the watches or not. .but we have seen a few major outliers before with Zenith @ Phillips. . .it did not dramatically change market pricing. that said great a3817, a384/5/6, and of course a3818 have just been on a steady upwards trajectory for years. i think the great examples are getting very hard to find indeed

    Agreed, don’t think it will have any meaningful impact and a steady climbing market is always the best route forwards...

    A386 prices, after being woefully undervalued for years have finally moved to a place that makes a little more sense, for one of the finest chronographs ever produced.

    Nice research, I found the very same tropical effect on a small batch of serials on UG Nina Mk2, within a tight serial range. 2569x.

    I wonder if the production year was the same?

    the a384 on C24 are poor condition and therefore unattractive for a collector. I agree that the prices for the Phillips pieces are insane and I have no idea why minimum two bidders made that battle.
