My Blue 600M PO GMT in titanium has shown to be perfect for my daily use as well as travel.

It’s sizeable but wears so much smaller and lighter in ti.

It’s high quality but not flashy. It is especially muted in ti. It is only recognized by those that know. Yet the dial and handset are gorgeous.

Unfortunately PO don’t hold there value very well in my opinion. I bought mine from a Jared’s for $5,000+ tax. I’d be lucky to get between $3,000-$3,500 for it now. The sticker on the watch was $6,200. You can check chrono 24 or places like DavidSW and many other sites to gage what they go for used.

Some have... the POLMLE has, and 42mm 2500’s are rising fast.

But my 3313 POC is the largest loss I have on any piece.

I lusted one of those for the longest, then the two register 9300 dropped and it lost its appeal for me. Do you think that was the case for many, and therefore the drop in the secondary market?

Oh, and for me it's the Oreo, my only PO.

I love my PO but I think its all about supply and demand. There are just to many different references of the PO and they aren’t hard to find so they fetch a lower price. On the other hand I bought a 42mm explorer 2 polar 2 years ago on davidsw for $6,200 box and papers. It was originally sold at a finks in 2015. If you check out davidsw right know you’ll see there now selling fro 7-8K. Even the 40mm are selling for 5-6K when a couple years ago you could get them for around $4,500.

I had the option to get either the 3313 or the new dual register that had just dropped. The thickness of the 2nd gen just didn’t work for me. I prefer the 3 register look, but I admit some of the detailing is better on the 2nd gen dial.

As for POC resale... it’s really a watch with no real competition. How many chronographs exist with deep sat diving specs( yes the SMPc)? That plus the high cost of entry compared to the already higher PO’s and much higher then SMP’s. The larger size esp after the first gen also limits the market. As each new generation improves the specs I think it’s an expected perfect storm.

Might as well share a few shots of my blue 8900.

In case anyone is wondering, the rubber strap from the GoodPlanet GMT fits perfectly on these.

Not exactly. You may get used POLMLE at about 5 k in EURO.
If you look for an explanation why does not PO keep good value just see how many iterations does it have, how many sizes, how many materials, how many LE, etc etc ... Surely Omega did it just to snatch bigger chunk in every segment of the market, but at the end it starts working against that, and they will lose a lot of potential customers.

Currently there are 79 iterations - SS, ceramics, PM, with diamonds, LM, without diamonds, blue, white, black, red, orange, 39.5, 45.5, 43.5, 37.5, LE etc etc.

I trust your stats but still hard to believe as I’ve never run into someone else wearing a PO. Subs and Panerais certainly and an occasional SMP.
