·I think they also underestimated an opponent.It was a lot of talking about England vs France final, but they forgot that they need to get there first.
Modric went off in a post game interview a little bit, talking about that.
Also, I was watching Rio Ferdinand talking about the England vs France final, like it was done deal.

·@Uniqez Rio Ferdinand wasn’t playing, so I don’t see how his view is relevant. The media don’t speak for the players or the staff.
I didn’t hear any of players talking negatively about Croatia or see any evidence that they would be taking them lightly. In fact the manage clearly stated they would not be underestimating Croatia. And he also rubbished any notion that the result would be influenced in any way by Croatia playing extra time and pens in their previous 2 games.
The reason they lost was they simply failed to take their gilt edged chances when they were on top in the first half.
Well done Croatia.

Talking about the chances, Croatia could've done it without an extra time.
